Why do we breed mediocrity? Why is there such a problem in society about recognizing those who excel? The everyone gets a trophy mentality is not helping. Not keeping score in our children’s soccer, hockey, football, whatever games is perplexing, providing no understanding that there is separation in life….those who excel and those who do not. And the one’s who do not have no role models early in life to be better if we insist keeping everyone on the same level so we protect feelings. The early stages of our lives are the foundation of our adult years and such a mentality is doing no one any favors.
